GST Calculator

A GST calculator adds Goods and Services Tax to a base amount and shows the split. Enter the amount and GST rate (0%, 5%, 12%, 18% or 28%) to see the tax and the gross total; on intra-state sales GST is split equally into CGST and SGST.

How is GST calculated?

GST = base × rate/100; total = base + GST. CGST = SGST = GST ÷ 2 for intra-state sales.

Frequently asked questions

What are the GST rate slabs in India?
India uses five main GST slabs: 0%, 5%, 12%, 18% and 28%. Most goods and services fall under 5%, 12% or 18%; luxury and 'sin' goods attract 28% plus a possible cess.
What is the difference between CGST, SGST and IGST?
For sales within a state, GST splits into CGST (central) and SGST (state), half each. For sales across states, a single IGST is charged at the full rate instead.
